Welcome! I am a fourth year graduate student with the Department of Linguistics at the University of Chicago. My primary research interests are in phonology and historical linguistics, but recently I've been focusing on general linguistics pedagogy.
For the last year and a half or so I have been working on Coptic direct object morphology, which has also added a healthy dose of syntax and semantics to my work. At this point I'm nearing the end of my Coptic studies and will be returning to my earlier work on prosodic systems in the Otomanguean languages. Although I still have a lot of exploratory work to do, by the end of the summer I hope to have narrowed this down to a suitable dissertation topic.
